Description

These Molten Chocolate Lava Cookies feature a rich and gooey center of melted dark chocolate encased in a delicate, chewy exterior. Perfect for chocolate lovers!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate ganache
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, then add vanilla and egg.
  4. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Scoop a tablespoon of dough, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of dark chocolate ganache in the center, wrapping the dough around it.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheet making sure to leave space between cookie balls, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack; dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For better results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overbaking for a gooey center.
