Description

A delightful mix of mushrooms and crispy tofu, this stir-fry bursts with savory goodness, perfect for a quick dinner or healthy lunch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove the tofu and set aside.
  5. Add mushrooms and optional vegetables to the pan, stir-fry until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute.
  7. Return the tofu to the pan, add soy sauce, and stir for a couple of minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

Ensure to press the tofu to eliminate moisture. Fresh garlic and ginger enhance flavor significantly. This dish can be customized with various vegetables.
