- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups milk (or heavy cream)
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook for around 5-6 minutes until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional minute.
- Add the beef broth and milk, stirring well to combine.
- Toss in the pasta along with the Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cover, cooking for about 12-15 minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, lower the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with garlic bread or salad.
Notes
For a richer sauce, substitute milk with heavy cream. This dish tastes even better the next day as the flavors meld together.
