Description

A delightful dish transforming simple asparagus into a gourmet side with garlic and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bundles fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ to 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. Place the trimmed asparagus onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading the spears out evenly.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder evenly over the asparagus.
  6. Bake the asparagus for about 10 to 12 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

Notes

For the best flavor, choose fresh asparagus and don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
