Description
A comforting dish featuring pan-fried gnocchi combined with garlic butter mushrooms, providing a rich, earthy flavor and delightful texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing it to bubble slightly but not brown.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute, or until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook them for about 5-7 minutes, until they are softened and browned.
- Gently add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, stirring to combine with the mushrooms. Cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, allowing the gnocchi to crisp slightly on the outside.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- If you like, sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving warm.
Notes
To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For a vegan option, substitute butter with margarine or olive oil.
