Description

A comforting dish featuring pan-fried gnocchi combined with garlic butter mushrooms, providing a rich, earthy flavor and delightful texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing it to bubble slightly but not brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook them for about 5-7 minutes, until they are softened and browned.
  5. Gently add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, stirring to combine with the mushrooms. Cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, allowing the gnocchi to crisp slightly on the outside.
  6. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. If you like, sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For a vegan option, substitute butter with margarine or olive oil.
