Description

A comforting dish of pan-fried gnocchi tossed with earthy mushrooms in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook them for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. While the mushrooms are cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to the package instructions, or until they float. Drain and set aside.
  4. Add the drained gnocchi to the skillet with the mushrooms, gently toss in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for a few additional minutes until the gnocchi are slightly crispy.
  5. Serve warm, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra crispiness, fry the gnocchi longer after combining with the mushrooms. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
