Description
A comforting dish of pan-fried gnocchi tossed with earthy mushrooms in a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound gnocchi
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook them for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper.
- While the mushrooms are cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to the package instructions, or until they float. Drain and set aside.
- Add the drained gnocchi to the skillet with the mushrooms, gently toss in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for a few additional minutes until the gnocchi are slightly crispy.
- Serve warm, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra crispiness, fry the gnocchi longer after combining with the mushrooms. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
