Description
A creamy and crunchy dish with golden, crispy Parmesan crusted chicken topped with rich Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat in the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the coated chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the Alfredo sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the chicken topped with the Alfredo sauce and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Ensure chicken breasts are even in thickness for consistent cooking. Use fresh garlic and freshly grated Parmesan for best results.
