- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 36 chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter and butter until smooth and well combined.
- Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until fully combined and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually introduce the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately press chocolate kisses into the top of the bars.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature eggs and ensure not to overbake.
