  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and salt, stirring until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk melted butter with white sugar until well combined.
  5. Stir in cocoa powder, another egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt, followed by chocolate chips.
  7. Refrigerate both doughs for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Scoop small blobs of each dough onto a baking sheet and swirl with a toothpick.
  10. Bake for 9-11 minutes and cool on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps prevent spreading. Use quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
