Description

An irresistible roll cake with a rich chocolate base and creamy peanut butter filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Beat the eggs and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Dust a kitchen towel with powdered sugar. Invert the baked cake onto the towel and roll it up while it’s warm.
  7. Mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk for the filling.
  8. Once the cake is cool, unroll it, spread the peanut butter filling evenly, then re-roll the cake tightly.
  9. Chill the rolled cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add crushed peanuts to the filling.
