Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or corn syrup
- 8 whole pecans for garnish
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until bubbling, creating a rich, caramel-like texture.
- Add the chopped pecans, ensuring they are well coated. Remove from heat.
- Spoon a small amount of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle of dough.
- Roll up each crescent from the wide end, tucking in the filling.
- Top each roll with a drizzle of the remaining filling and press a whole pecan on top for garnish.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and glossy.
- Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
