Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound smoky sausage, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of water and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and bell peppers, cooking for 5-7 minutes until the peppers are tender and the sausage is browned.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for around 5 minutes.
  4. Toss cooked penne pasta into the skillet, mixing well until heated through and everything is combined.
