- 2 cups canned peaches, drained slightly
- 1/2 cup peach syrup (from can)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir in melted butter and milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Spoon the canned peaches over the batter, then pour the peach syrup on top without mixing.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, preferably warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
For best flavor, use ripe peaches; fresh peaches can be substituted. This dessert is best served warm.
