  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat, and add cumin and mustard seeds.
  2. Sauté the onions until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Include the chopped tomatoes and cook until softened and oil separates from the mixture.
  5. Mix in turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander, and salt.
  6. Add cubed potatoes and stir to coat.
  7. Pour in water, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  8. Add green peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
