Description

Delicious red velvet cookies with white chocolate chunks, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are crispy.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.
