- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions

- Place the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chilling the dough helps prevent spreading. For added flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips or sea salt before baking.
