Description
Delicious homemade Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, combining creamy peanut butter with silky chocolate, perfect for Easter or any sweet occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 2 tsp canola oil
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, add the smooth peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix gently with a paddle attachment until the mixture holds together.
- Scoop out 24 equally sized peanut butter dough balls using a tablespoon and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Shape each ball into an egg shape and place it back on the baking sheet. Freeze the eggs until hard, about 30 to 60 minutes.
- While the eggs are freezing, melt the chocolate chips and canola oil in a bowl in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dunk one egg at a time in the melted chocolate mixture using a fork. Remove excess chocolate and place the egg back on the baking sheet.
- Repeat until all eggs are coated. Drizzle with leftover melted chocolate and return to the freezer for about 5 minutes to harden.
Notes
Use smooth peanut butter for the best texture. Chill the eggs thoroughly to maintain their shape while dipping in chocolate.
