Description

A romantic and comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy garlic-infused sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound farfalle (bowtie) pasta
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear each side for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the butter. Once it’s melted, throw in the sun-dried tomatoes and sauté for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stir well, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the farfalle pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add it back to the skillet with the sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the creamy sauce.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes, then serve immediately.

Notes

Consider using fresh garlic for enhanced flavor. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
