Description

A delightful blend of creamy and spicy flavors featuring roasted jalapeños and smooth cream cheese, perfect for appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large jalapeños (stems removed, sliced in half, seeded)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place halved jalapeños on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, tossing lightly.
  3. Roast for about 12 minutes until soft and slightly charred.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese with roasted jalapeños once cooled.
  5. Stir in Dijon mustard, chives, parsley, garlic powder, lemon juice, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne until smooth.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before transferring to a serving dish.

Notes

Letting the dip chill for at least an hour allows the flavors to meld beautifully. It can be served warm or cold.
