Description

A delicious and creamy stuffed chicken dish inspired by the classic steakhouse favorite, featuring juicy chicken breasts filled with cream cheese, spinach, mozzarella, and Italian seasonings.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut pockets into each chicken breast.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped spinach, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed and creamy.
  4. Generously fill each chicken pocket with the cream cheese mixture and secure the openings with toothpicks.
  5. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and sear the stuffed chicken for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Pour chicken broth around the chicken, drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and bake uncovered for about 25–30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Sprinkle tops with Parmesan cheese and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use thicker chicken breasts and monitor cooking time to avoid drying out. Feel free to experiment with different fillers to suit your taste.
