Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 4 large shallots, peeled, halved, and thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 4 cups frozen green peas
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter and olive oil.
  2. Once the butter melts, stir in the sliced shallots and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until golden-brown.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Toss in the frozen green peas, salt, and pepper; cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped parsley; stir well.
  6. Transfer the peas to a serving dish and garnish with additional parsley before serving warm.

Notes

For an even sweeter flavor, try using fresh peas when in season. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
