- 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
- 1 lemon (sliced)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the salmon skin-side down on a sheet of aluminum foil and raise the edges to create a foil pack.
- Nestle lemon slices around and on top of the salmon.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and stir in the lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic.
- Pour three-quarters of this mixture over the salmon and season with salt and pepper.
- Seal the foil pack tightly and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for about 17 minutes.
- Open the foil pack carefully, switch your oven to broil, and spoon the reserved buttery mixture over the salmon.
- Broil for an additional 5-10 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Use skin-on salmon for moisture and flavor. Customize honey levels to your preference.
