- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 loaf garlic bread
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot, add linguine or spaghetti, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) and let simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Toss the drained pasta into the skillet with the shrimp and butter sauce until well coated.
- Serve in bowls, garnish with parsley, and enjoy with garlic bread.
