Delicious and convenient pecan pie bars with a chewy filling and a buttery crust.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until a dough forms and press into the bottom of a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
- Bake the crust for about 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden.
- In another bowl, mix brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and pour over the baked crust.
- Bake again for 25-30 minutes, until filling is set and slightly bubbly.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh pecans. These bars store well in an airtight container and can also be frozen.
