Description

A deliciously crispy and juicy smash burger made with high-quality ground beef, perfect for casual gatherings or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Burger buns
  • Pickles (Optional)
  • Lettuce (Optional)
  • Tomato (Optional)
  • Ketchup and mustard (To taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the patties: Form the ground beef into four loose balls, about 1/4 lb each.
  2. Preheat the grill or skillet: Heat over high heat until very hot.
  3. Smash the patties: Place meat balls onto the grill and smash down with a spatula to about 1/2 inch thick; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook: Let cook for 3-4 minutes without moving; then flip, add cheese, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Assemble the burger: Toast buns, add patty and desired toppings, and serve.

Notes

For best results, use cold beef and ensure your cooking surface is very hot.
