Description

Juicy and packed with flavor, Smashburger Quesadillas combine the best of a burger and a quesadilla into one delicious bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 large Flour tortillas
  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Diced onions
  • 1/2 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Pickles (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying, as needed

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the diced onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful filling.
  3. Heat another skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking oil.
  4. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle half of the cheese over half of the tortilla.
  5. Top the cheese with the turkey mixture and add pickles if desired.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, then fold the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the skillet, cut into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider customizing with spices like garlic powder or smoked paprika. Experiment with various cheeses and vegetables to suit your taste.
