Description

A flavorful and spicy dish featuring tender beef sirloin and chewy noodles, tossed in a savory Gochujang sauce with vibrant vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 8 ounces cooked noodles
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep all ingredients: Slice the beef, mince the garlic, slice the onion and red bell pepper, and cook the noodles as per package instructions.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the beef: Add the beef to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add garlic and onion; sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then add red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, Gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Pour into the skillet with vegetables.
  6. Combine everything: Return beef to the skillet and toss to coat, then add noodles and mix well.
  7. Final cook: Let cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for tenderness. Adjust the spice level by varying Gochujang. Cook noodles al dente to prevent mushiness.
