Description

A deliciously bold dish featuring tender beef, rich gochujang sauce, and comforting noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 8 ounces cooked noodles
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep all ingredients: thinly slice the beef, mince the garlic, slice the onion and bell pepper, and cook the noodles according to package instructions.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the beef: Add sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned, then remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté vegetables: Add garlic and onion to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add the bell pepper: Toss in sliced red bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Prepare the sauce: Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a small bowl, then pour into the skillet.
  7. Combine everything: Return the beef to the skillet and add cooked noodles, stirring well to coat.
  8. Heat it all together: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute beef with tofu or tempeh. Adjust spice levels according to personal preference.
