Spicy shrimp tacos with a refreshing cilantro lime slaw, perfect for casual gatherings and vibrant dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb Jumbo shrimp
  • 16 Corn tortillas
  • 2 cups Green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cups Purple cabbage, shredded
  • 2 Avocados
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Ancho chili powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cilantro lime slaw by mixing shredded cabbages, lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Make the avocado crema using a food processor to blend avocados, garlic, cilantro, spices, and lime juice until smooth.
  3. Season shrimp with spices and sear in a non-stick skillet with avocado oil until cooked through.
  4. Heat corn tortillas on another skillet until warm and pliable.
  5. Assemble tacos by spreading avocado crema on tortillas and topping with slaw and shrimp.

Notes

Rinse shrimp before cooking for a clean taste. Warm tortillas on low heat to prevent tearing.
