Description

Delightful and creamy Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells, perfect for comfort food lovers.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, cooked spinach, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese and spinach mixture.
  6. Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the shells.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Let the dish sit for about five minutes after baking to allow the cheese to set. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
