Description

A delightful dessert that combines sweet strawberries and bananas with a smooth vanilla pudding, layered with crunchy vanilla wafers and topped with whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter, adding sugar if desired. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth. Let this mixture sit to thicken.
  3. Once the crust has cooled, spread the thickened pudding evenly over the crust, then layer sliced strawberries and bananas on top.
  4. Top with fluffy whipped cream, covering the fruit completely.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use whole milk for creamier pudding. Homemade whipped cream is recommended for richer flavor.
