Description
A delightful dessert that combines sweet strawberries and bananas with a smooth vanilla pudding, layered with crunchy vanilla wafers and topped with whipped cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
- 4 cups milk
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter, adding sugar if desired. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth. Let this mixture sit to thicken.
- Once the crust has cooled, spread the thickened pudding evenly over the crust, then layer sliced strawberries and bananas on top.
- Top with fluffy whipped cream, covering the fruit completely.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Use whole milk for creamier pudding. Homemade whipped cream is recommended for richer flavor.
