- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar (for strawberry sauce)
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter.
- Press this mixture into the bottom and sides of a pie dish to form a crust.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
- In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar and water to create the strawberry sauce.
- Heat until the sugar dissolves, then add the sliced strawberries and cook until softened.
- Once cooled, pour the strawberry sauce over the cream cheese layer.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For best results, allow the pie to chill for the full time and consider using fresh strawberries for optimal flavor. It can also be made a day in advance.
