Description

A delicious twist on traditional sushi, this Sushi Bake combines savory crab and creamy flavors, all baked into a warm and comforting dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups sushi rice
  • 1 cup crab meat (imitation or real)
  • ½ cup Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 sheets nori (seaweed), cut into strips
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until clear; then cook according to package instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix the crab meat, mayonnaise, soy sauce, and green onions until well combined.
  4. Layer half of the cooked rice in the baking dish, followed by the crab mixture. Top with the remaining rice, pressing gently.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with nori strips, sesame seeds, and extra green onions before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality crab meat for the best flavor. Don’t skip the nori, as it adds an essential sushi taste.
