Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  3. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the prepared sauce over it and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For deeper flavors, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. You can also use tamari for a gluten-free option.
