Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 bag (32 ounce) frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 2-3 minutes until onion softens.
  3. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange frozen tater tots over the meat mixture.
  5. Transfer to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are crispy and golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the tater tots and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the beef while browning. Customize sauces for different flavor profiles.
