- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove steaks from skillet and let them rest.
- Add the sliced onions to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, then bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Serve the steaks topped with onion gravy and garnish with parsley if desired.
