Description

A delightful dish featuring tender steaks smothered in rich onion gravy, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove steaks from skillet and let them rest.
  5. Add the sliced onions to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  7. Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, then bring to a simmer.
  8. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  9. Serve the steaks topped with onion gravy and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Let the steaks rest before slicing to keep them juicy.
