Description

A delightful medley of savory flavors and vibrant textures featuring ground turkey served over fluffy rice with fresh vegetables and a rich teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in the bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and carrot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Pour the sauce over the turkey and veggies.
  4. Let everything cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve the mixture over the cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Browning the turkey properly improves taste. Use fresh vegetables and do not overcook for best results. Customize with your choice of rice or spice level.
