- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice to the pan, stirring well to coat it with oil and butter, and cook for about 3-4 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring in the paprika, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and turmeric.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, let sit covered for 5 minutes, fluff with a fork, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
