Description

Delicious Thai Basil Beef Rolls filled with savory ground beef, aromatic garlic, and fresh Thai basil wrapped in rice paper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • Rice paper wraps
  • Lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned for about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Thai basil leaves until wilted.
  2. Prepare the Rice Paper Wraps: Soak rice paper wraps in warm water until soft and pliable, about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Assemble the Rolls: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of a softened rice paper wrap.
  4. Roll It Up: Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and roll from the bottom up, tucking tightly.
  5. Serve: Serve rolls with fresh lettuce and optional dipping sauce.

Notes

For a spicy version, mix in minced chili peppers while cooking. Can be made vegan by substituting ground beef with plant-based meat.
