- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined, then scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet and make an indent in each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden, then cool slightly before filling the indents with caramel sauce.
- Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the cookies, allowing the chocolate to set before serving.
Notes
Allow cookies to cool slightly before adding caramel to prevent excessive absorption. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
