Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies infused with earthy matcha and sweet white chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until mixed well.
  6. Stir in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them a few inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened for easy mixing. Don’t overbake the cookies; they should be soft in the center when you take them out.
