Description

A delightful dish combining earthy Brussels sprouts with smoky bacon and fresh sage, perfect for brunch or as a hearty side.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 6 oz thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim Brussels sprouts; slice them thinly.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
  3. Add diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until translucent (3-4 mins).
  4. Stir in sliced Brussels sprouts; cook until bright green with caramelized edges (6-8 mins).
  5. Fold in fresh sage and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute bacon with turkey bacon. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
