Description

A fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday season with cheesy, buttery dough balls shaped like a Christmas tree.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package store-bought pizza dough
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried herbs (such as oregano or parsley)
  • Marinara sauce or pesto for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into small squares.
  3. Place a small amount of mozzarella cheese in the center of each square.
  4. Gather the corners of the dough together and pinch to seal, forming cheese balls.
  5. Arrange the balls in a tree shape on a baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and dried herbs.
  7. Brush the herb-garlic butter over the dough balls.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce or pesto for dipping.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for a stronger flavor. Make sure to seal the dough tightly to avoid leaks while baking. You can use a cookie cutter to create a fun star shape for the top of your tree!
