Description

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these French Toast Sticks are a fun and easy breakfast option loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 thick slices of brioche or challah bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Cut each slice of bread into strips about 1 inch wide.
  3. Dip each strip into the egg mixture until fully coated; let the excess drip off.
  4. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbly.
  5. Cook dipped bread sticks for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve immediately with maple syrup or toppings of your choice.

Notes

Make sure your skillet is hot enough before adding the butter; this helps the sticks get crispy. Store any leftover French Toast Sticks in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
