Description

A warm and comforting Green Bean Casserole that’s perfect for family gatherings and holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the green beans for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  4. Add the cooked green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 1.5-quart casserole dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, stir in half of the French fried onions, and top with the remaining onions.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the green beans for the best texture. Customize with cheese or other vegetables if desired.
