Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (any type)
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
- Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices) and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and cover with enough water or broth to cook the pasta.
- Cook according to the pasta package instructions, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is al dente, stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes or Italian herbs. You can substitute different cheeses or pasta types based on your preference.
