This easy crochet bandana features a simple triangular shape, comfortable ties, and an optional picot edging. The pattern is beginner-friendly and can be adjusted to create a smaller or larger bandana.

Foundation
Make a slipknot and ch 4.
Row 1

For a smaller bandana, work fewer rows. For a larger bandana, continue adding rows using the same pattern.

First Strap
Ch 40.
Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, sl st across.

For a shorter strap, use fewer chains. For a longer strap, add more chains.
If slip stitches are difficult to work, single crochet stitches can be used instead.
The chain measures approximately 22 cm before working the slip stitches and shortens to approximately 20 cm after the slip stitch row is completed.
Straightening the Edges and Optional Picots
Continue working without cutting the yarn.
If you prefer the bandana without picots, simply work 3 sc into the side of each row.
Rotate the bandana to the right and work along the short side of the triangle.
