Soft, chewy, and dusted with powdered sugar —these Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies are a holiday (and Valentine’s Day) favorite that melt in your mouth.
🕒 Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 12 minutes | Total Time: 27 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 box red velvet cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Mix the dough
In a large bowl, combine red velvet cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Stir until smooth and sticky. - Chill the dough
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes—this makes the dough easier to roll and prevents spreading. - Form the cookies
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into balls. Coat each ball generously in powdered sugar. - Bake until crinkled
Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until the tops crackle and centers are soft. - Cool & enjoy
Let cookies rest on the pan for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with a glass of milk or pack them as a sweet holiday gift!
Pro Tips:
- For extra chewiness, don’t overbake—cookies should look slightly underdone in the middle.
- Add white chocolate chips for a creamy contrast.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze dough balls for easy future baking.
